What services does hospice offer?

What does hospice provide?

 

Patients enrolled in hospice care will receive visits from the hospice care team, which includes:

  • Hospice doctor

  • Hospice nurse

  • Hospice aide

  • Hospice social worker

  • Therapies

  • Chaplain

  • Bereavement coordinator

  • Volunteers

 

Hospice services include:

  • Nursing visits to address the patient's symptoms.

  • Hospice aide visits to provide personal care such as bathing and grooming.

  • Social work visits to help coordinate community resources for the family.

  • Chaplain visits to provide spiritual comfort and support.

  • Volunteer visits to provide companionship.

  • Bereavement support for the family after their loved one has passed away.

  • Any medication, supplies, and medical equipment related to the patient's hospice diagnosis.

What equipment/ supplies does hospice provide?

Medical equipment can include, but is not limited to:

  • Hospital bed

  • Wheelchair

  • Walkers

  • Lifts

  • Oxygen equipment

  • Wound dressing

  • Incontinence supplies ​
